Death of journalism in India

The delicate part of the profession is to take no sides and report the matter to the public and let them decide. The sides people take should not be based on your influence. As we have seen, journalism has been taken to a whole new level by journalists in india. Swaying like a dandelion. Flipping sides. Making the best possible efforts to make people eat what they decide to serve. It hurts when people do things as they indirectly command.
When the journalism is screwed, in an effort to set things right people has taken it into their own hands. We see lot of stories and scandals posted on social media. Most cases it is just one side of the story. Biased to the emotions of the content owner. That's why journalism is a profession. Normal people can't be neutral when they are emotionally disturbed. Not everyone is smart to understand that there are more sides to the story. People share, like and comment and there goes India's journalism. I don't have to tell you how powerful this is. As they say with great power comes great responsibility.
There was a time when journalists were looked upon with utmost respect. Then there was a time when at least the word journalism was looked upon with respect. Now journalism is having a tough time in the hands of common people trying to register their feelings and make the whole world to only feel what they felt.
Out of care for the nation I request all of us to please remember this before you express your emotion. There is always an other side for any story.

Dedicated to my friends

Years come and go. Things and people change every year. But only a few remain unchanged.

A few who don't expect anything from you..
A few whose silence irritates you.
A few who could make you smile with just a word.
A few who can't fake a smile.
A few who you can't buy with words..
A few who don't care you own a Ferrari..
A few who never wanted to know how much you like them.
A few who always sense your absence.
A few who leaves you only to let their presence felt.
A few who stands in front of you when you're attacked.

New year doesn't bring anything.

I am really feeling sick of hearing these words time and again. 'May this year bring you happiness and good fortune'.
Is it true?? When a new year comes does it change anything?? Every time I hoped so only to end up in despair. Nothing changes. Dreams are still dreams. Wish list is still the same in length. But what made these people think a mere change in date (that normally takes a month to get used to) could bring around a change in your life.
After spending a while in wondering I decided not to believe in this. It is we who play the sole role of being the architect in changing just about anything in our lives. Nothing in life changes unless we take an effort. No fortunes. No magic. We are everything.
No more "may this year bring you all that you wanted in your life". Instead I am hoping that you all take that much needed efforts (that was lacking often) in elevating your life  and turning this year into a very successful and a memorable one.

Relationships

Traveling in a bus is a pain for most people. To some extent it is. But today i felt different. Thanks to the telephonic conversation that I was hearing. (Don't get me wrong. I was not intended to hear anything. She spoke so loudly that it caught my attention. And i was made to give up my hobby of counting the bikes because of this). It was a very heated argument. She accuses the party on the other side for taking her lightly of late.
I gave few moments of sympathy for the receiver and then started to wonder why people are so desperate to be in a relationship.  Okay, I understand it and obviously i know how wonderful it would be to have a girlfriend. But the sad thing is that this desperation is leading many into miseries. I have real life examples in hand but that's not the point.
It is very awkward to listen to some dialogues that comes out of mouths that are not matured enough to deliver those. Sadly, the teens these days are doing great in getting us used to this awkwardness. How can a thirteen year old girl say "I cannot live without you, dear".
Most of the relationships these days follow this pattern. A desperate heart meets another desperate heart and they make it a relationship. Without knowing much about each other they start their journey. Then comes the phase where the two were made to understand each other(not willingly). There comes the problems. Desperateness is no more and hence many relationships doesn't cross this phase.

Life will be really better if we change our misconception that love is a stage in life. No its definitely not. It is a feeling and don't ever try to force a feeling. Laughter and happiness are two different things. You are not going to become happy by simply laughing.  Doesn't matter how complicated things get, it is always a beautiful feeling to be in a relationship. All that i got as an outcome of these observations is that one must wait. yes, wait endlessly....

Moment that matters

I have heard people talk about moments that could change your life. more u read about them more will be your concerns about future. I always kept it simple. In my observation, ur life escalates right at the moment u start to appreciate ur life.

There will be moments where life seems to b very ordinary. There will b moments when u think more about the life of others than the one that u r living. But once u start appreciating ur life I tell u there wont be a single moment of despair. Things that bothered us before will now b out of our sight.

This power of life can never be understood. How does the few moments that we take to reflect our life help us in living our lives better ??? Answer unknown but one thing is for sure.
THIS REALLY WORKS!!!

The Need to be Different

A country which is supposed to be a developing country since 1950 should be a developed one by now. Or atleast it should not be like how our country looks right now. No matter how hard we think we could never find a concrete reason to convince ourselves. I observed a thing about our people that could possibly be a reason why we are not developing in a average pace. We never try to be different. Less travelled paths scare us. We never go for adventures. We would go for a tour that is pre planned and well scheduled rather than to go on a adventure even if the former costs too much. We are never ready to come out of our comfort zone.
We see a successful man and believe his path is the only path to success and we try to follow it ignoring the other billion ways to succeed. People here have good bank balance but hesitant to invest it in a business just because of the fear of loosing it. Our country's development relies hugely on this unused wealth that people put behind their name.
We see successful people from the west. Admire them. No offence in that. But offence begins when we try to follow them. We copy their attires. People must understand that their attires didnt give them sucsess, their language didnt but their work did.
"UNIQUE" is a word i love and its really pity that i'm  unable to use it when i talk about my country. There is no rule that we should take only an already travelled path. When u feel an alternate better route is available, never hesitate to take it. If u didnt try how will you be able to find the best one.  Success is not something that we get only by following someone's path. Have a vision. Become broad minded. Work with conciousness. Success will give you a date then.

We care for our people

Sub Urban trains in chennai, the place where u will find all kinds of beggars. Within a 10 minute travel u are assured to see atleast one of them. Where else in this world you would see a monkey do this!!

What goes through your mind when you see one such beggar. I find it very tough to express that feel. May be there is no apt word in any of the languages to describe that feeling. A tinge of anger mixed with pitiness. Recently saw a lady begging. Well that's no surprise. But the surprising part is that she could read tamil literature very well.
Before giving money to them i used to think "what if this small coins that i give satisfy them and they remain beggars all throughout". So more often i decide not to encourage them. Well, we all know pain killers doesn't cure anything. Antibiotics do.
It would be hard to blame them for their pathetic condition. There should be a wayout for them. For a goverment that spends crores for welcoming the prime minister from neighbouring country this shouldn't be a big deal. To start camps, where these people could be brought to, made to work, provided with food. Can't just say it is goverment's duty and then shift our focus. May be our goverment is too busy welcoming visitors, justifying their crimes. So here falls a duty on us to remind our goverment about what they are here for. Serve People...
